School Prayer

Look down with favour upon us
As we assemble here
To praise you O Lord!
Grant that in this school
There may be laid the foundations of a character
Well pleasing to you
Be thou our Guardian and Guide in all things

And help us to be faithful and true to the ideals
That are set before us here!
Prevent us from doing any action this day
That would make us ashamed of being called
Your own children!
Bless our parents, teachers, friends and helpers
Bless our country and our leaders.
Bless those who do us good, bless even those who seek to hurt us
Keep our young minds and hearts open
To all who need us and
Bless the people who have no one
To help and comfort them this day.

Prayer before going home
O God! Thank you with my heart’s love for all your
Wonderful blessings.
I thank you for all the good things and the
Happiness that have come to me through my home
Parents, my school, my teachers, my close friends and all those,
Who love me.
I an truly sorry that I often take all these
Blessings as though they were due to me.
But, I am most sorry when I repay your goodness
To me with ingratitude and sin.
I want to love and please you, I am determined
To do this, please give me the courage and love
I need.
Dear God, be with us all on our way home.
